Three API updates useful for recent files, account key and file metadata Kloudless Published: July 31, 2014 Hey there, developers! Another week means another set of API updates from Team Kloudless. 🙂So what you can expect from our cloud storage API?Parent Folder Information in MetadataFile metadata now contains information on the file’s parent folder for the services we support and that you elect to integrate. This allows you to traverse up the filesystem tree as well as down it.Recent OneDrive FilesInformation on recently modified files is now collected for OneDrive, in addition to Dropbox, Box and Google Drive.Recently modified files tend to be the ones your users care about, as they tend to be timely files they’d like to share or files that are works in progress. With OneDrive support for recently modified files, you can offer the same functionality across Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.REST API + File PickerThe File Picker docs include a new “account_key” option that can be used to retrieve account keys along with file/folder metadata. This allows further API requests via JavaScript after a user selects a file.To use this option, your File Picker must be launched from a trusted domain. To ensure your app is a trusted domain, add your app’s domain name on the App Details page in the developer portal. We hope you find these three features useful. They are immediately available for anyone with a Kloudless Developer account. Get your free account at kloudless.com. You’ll also find additional resources including SDKs and interactive docs to help you get started quickly.Have questions?
