Introducing usage quota, recent files and mobile File Picker Kloudless Published: July 17, 2014 Hey there, developers! Team Kloudless has rolled out some new updates to our API this week. Here’s what you can expect from our cloud storage API:Usage QuotaAccount data now includes information on the user’s cloud storage quota for their cloud storage services, allowing you to see how much space is used in the user’s account. You can use this information to anticipate if a file is too large to upload to the user’s account.Recent FilesYou can now retrieve recently modified files from a user’s accounts for Dropbox, Box and Google Drive. We’re working on adding recent files support for other cloud storage services. Let us know what services you need supported with a note to hello@kloudless.com.The ability to access recent files gives you more flexibility in displaying your users’ files. Especially on mobile devices, chances are that your users want to access a relevant file as quickly as possible. It’s likely to be a recently modified file.Exploring files on mobile browsersThe File Picker has been improved to work better in mobile and tablet browsers. The new responsive theme enables you to use the File Picker irrespective of which platform your user is on. So your users can access their files from browsers on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and more. We’re working on packaging this for our mobile SDKs, but the functionality is available for your use now, if you wish.We hope you find these three features useful. Anyone with a Kloudless Developer account has immediate access, and you can get your free account at kloudless.com. You’ll also find additional resources including SDKs and interactive docs to help you get started quickly.Have questions?
